Slow Horses follows people who have fallen out of favour with MI5, but its cast extends far beyond the desks at Slough House. The agents in Lamb’s office live with mistakes, grievances and ambitions that do not disappear when a posting changes. Their colleagues at the Park work in smarter surroundings, while facing their own battles over responsibility and power. Family members, political figures and outsiders bring pressures that neither building can contain.
This directory groups the characters by their place in that world. Start with Slough House for the regular team, or the Park and its political contacts for the people who supervise, obstruct and investigate them. Family and allies covers connections beyond an ordinary reporting line. The antagonists group is closed below because even identifying somebody’s place in an operation can reveal more than a new viewer wants to know.
Each name opens a full character guide. The introduction explains the role without giving away later developments, followed by the actor’s performance, the books and television portrayal, and the relationships that make the character interesting. Series arcs sit behind individual spoiler controls, so you can read about the run you have finished without opening the next one. The episode recommendations provide a route back to moments when a character takes particular focus.
Herron’s novels and the television series share a recognisable ensemble, although they do not always introduce people at the same point or follow the same events. The profiles distinguish those versions rather than treating a television development as a fact about every book. Links to the reading guides make it easy to find the relevant novel before exploring the comparison.
The actor link accompanies every directory entry. The cast profiles on this site cover performances, interviews and career highlights. You can also use the search field to find a name or role. The former personnel board, timeline and relationship-map guides now lead here, with their useful character material incorporated into the individual profiles. Begin with a familiar face, then follow the relationship links to explore the people around them.
