Series 6 began on 16 September 2026 and follows a weekly schedule through 21 October. Three episodes have been released as of 6 October: Circle of Life, Daddy Issues and Resurrection. Episode 4, Lost and Found, is scheduled for 7 October. The Series 6 guide separates released episode records from the future schedule.
Apple identifies two source novels for Series 6: Joe Country and Slough House. Series 7 has been commissioned as six episodes adapting Bad Actors. Begin with the spoiler-light field guide, then watch in series order. Slough House’s relationships and grudges accumulate, so jumping straight to a later series can disclose earlier outcomes. The glossary explains recurring language such as the Park, the Dogs and First Desk. Use the episode archive to check titles and order without opening a plot recap.
Use Mick Herron’s books in order to distinguish the numbered Slough House novels from novellas, collections, standalones and the Zoë Boehm sequence. Slow Horses is the first Slough House novel; Down Cemetery Road begins a different sequence. Reading in publication order helps preserve discoveries and relationships. You can also use the individual book guides to check what belongs to the television adaptation.
Start with the filming-location directory and its evidence labels, then choose a self-guided route. A fictional address, an exterior filming address and an interior set can be different things. The location guides explain those boundaries before giving practical access notes. Plan around public pavements and signed public spaces, and check transport and access information again on the day.

Series 1–5 adapt Slow Horses, Dead Lions, Real Tigers, Spook Street and London Rules. Series 6 draws on Joe Country and Slough House; Series 7 is announced as an adaptation of Bad Actors. The book vs show guide treats the two continuities separately.

The new City route starts at Farringdon and combines the office exteriors with Golden Lane and Bunhill Fields. For a longer waterside outing, follow the King’s Cross route through Granary Square towards Cumberland Basin. Both guides give stop order, walking estimates, refreshment breaks and access notes, with a print version to take along. Castle Combe has its own day-trip guide and needs a separate rail connection.
Start at the exterior most closely associated with the team’s workplace. The Aldersgate Street guide describes what can be seen from public land and how the frontage differs from the rear entrance. Keep doorways clear: recognition from television does not make a working building a visitor attraction.
The King’s Cross guide connects the area’s public spaces with the wider location directory. Combine nearby stops at a comfortable pace rather than trying to reproduce an edited chase. Use the map’s text list when a visual overview is less useful than a clear sequence of places.
Castle Combe is a separate day-trip proposition, with onward travel from Chippenham to plan in advance. It is a confirmed exterior setting for parts of Upshott, rather than evidence for every village, airfield or interior scene. Confirm the return connection before exploring, and allow for cobbles, slopes and narrow pavements.
The book archive brings together the main spy sequence and Herron’s other fiction. Check the category and first-publication year when comparing editions: a paperback or audiobook release date does not necessarily identify the first appearance of a story. Novella collections can also include works already published separately.
For people, start with the character directory. Follow actor links for selected credits, open a character’s milestones only when you want spoilers, or compare the timelines and relationship maps. These are different ways of navigating the same story, rather than alternative viewing orders.
If a detail looks wrong, send the page address, the proposed correction and the strongest source you can find through Contact / Feedback. A production credit, publisher listing or official visitor page is more useful than an unattributed claim. Locations retain Confirmed, Reported or Composite labels so that confidence is visible, rather than hidden behind confident wording.
